About Us

The overall mission for the Department for Technology Services is to provide CCISD with automated, cost effective systems and resources and to support the use of technology as a tool to achieve educational and operational goals on a daily basis.  Technology staff will continuously strive to provide solutions that streamline operations and improve the learning environment. Our vision is to enable our leaders, educators and learners with the skills and tools through best-practices and instructional strategies to become productive digital citizens as shown in the 2021-2025 Technology Plan.

Awards and Recognitions

On August 18, 2022, Corpus Christi ISD earned the Texas Cyberstar Certificate from the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR).  The certification is good for one year and recognizes public and private entities in Texas that implement best practices for cybersecurity. CCISD is one of six organizations and the first school district in the state to qualify for this certification.  Earning the Cyberstar Certificate is a result of CCISD’s continued commitment to focus on and prioritize cybersecurity.  For more information on the Texas Cyberstar Certificate Program, visit the Texas Department of Information Resources website.

On December 1, 2022, Corpus Christi ISD was honored as a recipient of the Trusted Learning Environment (TLE) Seal.  The TLE Seal is a national distinction awarded to school districts that demonstrate a tangible commitment to protecting student data through modern, rigorous policies and practices.  As the sixth Texas school district and 22nd school district in the United States to receive this recognition, Corpus Christi ISD recognizes that privacy and cybersecurity are key priorities with a commitment to continue our efforts in advancing privacy practices.

On March 21, 2023, Corpus Christi Independent School District was selected as the recipient of CoSN’s 2023 Community Leadership Award for Digital Equity. This award recognizes outstanding school districts, consortium of school districts, and education agencies that encourage, recognize, and are working towards eliminating education inequities while narrowing the access gap.
