    Job announcements are updated every business day, and posted throughout the year. All jobs are advertised for a minimum of 10 working days and will show the date they were originally advertised. Some jobs have a closing date, some are advertised "Until Filled," and others are advertised as "Continuous" throughout the year. If a job is no longer listed, it has been filled, closed, or is no longer available.

    With a workforce of approximately 6,200 full-time, Substitute and Temporary employees, Corpus Christi Independent School District is the largest employer in the Corpus Christi area.

    One of the main goals of the Human Resources Department is to recruit, attract, hire, and retain highly qualified individuals each year to fill approximately 3,260 Certified and Professional positions, and 2,240 Auxiliary positions.

    Human Resources also hires and manages approximately 1000 substitute teachers and paraprofessionals filling 300 - 450 employee absences a day.

  • One-Way Video Interviews

    Many of CCISD's applications for employment will include a one-way video interview through our partner Spark Hire.  

    You will be presented with a series of interview questions (normally 5 to 8 questions), specifically for the position you are applying to. You'll then record your video interview answers at your convenience as long as you submit them before the deadline. 

    This one-way video interview is then attached to your application for employment, and available to Principals and Hiring Managers for that position.

    Before you start your interview, you'll have the ability to watch a tutorial, test your equipment, and record practice video(s).

  • One-Way Video interview process

    • After you apply with CCISD, you will receive an email with "invitation" to complete the one-way video "interview".
    • After you accept the invitation, you will be prompted to set up a Spark Hire Username and Password.
    • You will then receive another email with "Instructions for your One-Way Video Interview," and a link to complete the video interview. You can record your video interview answers at your convenience as long as you submit them before the deadline.
    • You can use a PC or laptop, or use the Spark Hire mobile application on an Android or iOS (iPhone, iPad) device to complete your interview.

  • Frequent questions and information

    One-way video interviews are set up by the general position: Teacher, Counselor, Assistant Principal, Principal, Administrative Assistant, Special Ed Paraprofessional, Non-Special Ed Paraprofessional, etc. If you complete a one-way video interview for Administrative Assistant, that video is attached to any of your applications for Administrative Assistant. If you apply to Teacher and Counselor, you would receive invites to complete the teacher interview, and an invite to complete the counselor interview (with different questions).

    When you're in the interview, you'll be presented with the questions one at a time. The entire process is meant to be easy and you'll be provided with specific instructions along the way. You will have as much time as you need to review the question before responding.
