
The Corpus Christi Education Foundation hosted its annual State of the District luncheon on October 4.
The State of the District event raised more than $147,000 to benefit the Corpus Christi Independent School District. CCISD students greeted, served and performed for attendees, while the Hearts & Minds Showcase featured exhibits by students and educators from campuses throughout the district. Dr. Roland Hernandez, CCISD Superintendent of Schools, gave the keynote address.

Proceeds from the event benefit the CCEF, which serves and supports CCISD students and educators through financial contributions and volunteer service. Among other efforts supported, event proceeds fund annual “Grants for World-Class Schools,” providing students with innovative programming in the classrooms, including real-world, hands-on and unique educational experiences.
