ccisd employees with students shopping for Fish for life event

As students arrived, they were greeted by the vibrant sounds of the Ray Texan drumline, cheer team, and Tex-Anns, as well as Miller's cheer team and High Steppers. This welcome set the tone for a special shopping trip for a group of T.G. Allen Elementary School students, hosted by Fish for Life, who supports at-risk youth.

"I am happy to pick out new clothes for school," said Mia Cervantes, a fifth-grade student. "I'm thankful for this chance to get things I need."

With wide smiles and excitement, students eagerly explored the aisles, selecting new outfits, shoes, and accessories for the school year. Staff and volunteers guided them through the store, helping them find their sizes and pick out clothes that made them feel comfortable and confident.

Many students showed off their new selections to their friends and staff in passing.

"It was heartwarming to see our students receive shoes and clothing with the help of so many wonderful volunteers," said Principal Celeste Fernandez. "I'm truly grateful to everyone who dedicated their time to make a difference for our students."
