K.E.Y.S Walk

CCISD employees and community volunteers came together on August 21 for the annual K.E.Y.S (Keep Every Youth in School) Walk. This powerful initiative aimed at connecting us with students who have not yet returned to school.

Teams spread out across neighborhoods citywide, knocking on doors and having meaningful conversations with families about the resources available to help students return to school. Volunteers shared information on mentorship programs, academic support, and mental health resources, ensuring that each student knows there is a strong network of support ready to assist them.

With 140 volunteers in total, they made an attempted 235 visits and made contact with 64 students and parents.
