Metro Elementary School of Design recently welcomed families and staff to the newly renovated Steven Lee Bennett Auditorium for a ribbon-cutting celebration. The event marked a significant milestone for the fine-arts-focused campus, showcasing a space designed to inspire creativity and performance.
"This auditorium is the heart of this amazing, fine-arts school, and we are delighted to share this renovation with you,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Roland Hernandez.
The 88-year-old auditorium received upgrades including new seating, fresh paint, new stage curtains and more. Following the ceremony, students entertained a standing room only crowd with their, “Dancing in a Winter Candy Land” holiday show. The event was preceded by an art show.
