The Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) was named a state finalist in the highly regarded H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. Announced on January 9, this recognition highlights the center's outstanding contributions to early childhood education in Texas.
The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards celebrate schools and educators who demonstrate exceptional commitment to student achievement through innovative programs, community and parent involvement, and professional development for teachers and administrators. Since its inception in 2002, H-E-B’s program has distributed over $13 million to support educators and school districts across Texas.
ECDC now advances to the final round, where winners will be revealed at the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards ceremony in May. The top Early Childhood Center will receive $25,000, while all finalists in this category are awarded $5,000.
"We are proud that our work is recognized, and that all the efforts we make as a team are worthwhile. This recognition is for our entire school family of staff, students, parents, and our TAMUCC partners," Principal Kellye Loving and her staff shared.
