November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. A time for us to honor and recognize the sacrifices made by veterans and their families. Veterans are people who have served in the U. S. Armed Forces to protect our country, and military families also make sacrifices by supporting their loved ones during deployments and training.
This month is about showing appreciation for their bravery and commitment. It’s a chance for us to say "thank you" to those who work hard to keep us safe and to support the families who stand by them.
Last Monday, Grant Middle School held a Special Veterans Day Breakfast in the library in honor of Veterans Day. As veterans arrived, the Grant Band and Spirit Team performed in the atrium, creating a warm welcome, while the orchestra played in the library during breakfast. Mr. Garza, our principal, recognized the veterans and shared a special message of gratitude. The event was a full house, filled with excitement and appreciation.
Also, in honor of National Veterans and Military Families Month, the Grant Cuda Cast Podcast featured U.S. Veterans in Episode 6: A Tribute to U.S. Veterans.
